TEXT -OF MESSAGES

(Received Jan.'4, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 3. The text- of the greetings of His Majesty the King and Herr Hitler was as follows: —

His Majesty telegraphed : “On the occasion of tlie New Year Mr. Chancellor I ask you to accept my good wishes for your health and welfare, and lor the prosperity of tho Gorman Reich. —George Rex, lmperator.” Herr Hitler telegraphed : “Ilis Majesty the King, London.—Your Majesty, 1 beg you on tho occasion of the Now Year to accept my warmest wishes for yourself and the Royal Family, and associate therewith my sincere wishes for the future prosperity of the British Empire.”
