]n |ho Sheffield Shield match against Queensland, New South Wales, in their second innings, lost lour wickets for 286. Kain caused an abandonment of the match. Eingleton made 108 and Kippax 40 not out. Bowling, Oxonham took two for 92. Queensland won on the first innings by 177 runs.

The scoring on the single side was very even. R.. Hamm made 22, L. Shanks, captain, 16, L. Wykes 14, not out. Me* Naulty 16, B. Parker 13. E. Wykes 10, and Rf Field 10. G.'Spence took seven wickets for 40 'runs, T. A. Field one for six, McPhail two for seven, and McKenzie one for 30.
1). Wilson, 20, Honan, 13, and Brough lon, 10, were the best scorers in the single team’s second innings. Spence and Fraser bowled unchanged, the former taking three wickets for 30 runs, and the latter seven for 45.
With a quarter of an hour to make 30 runs the finish was very exciting. Wickets fell rapidly and it looked as though the single team would pull the game out of the fire. With the scores almost level, a terrific six by K. McKenzie landed the ball in the middle of the river, ampput the issue beyond doubt. 0. Fraser, 10, J. Barker, 10, and K. McKenzie. 20 not out, were responsible for most of Lhe runs. R. Field, four wicketsfor eight, runs, and D. Wilson, four for 20, secured most of the wickets. L. Wykes took one wicket, for no runs, G. Shanks one for none, Honan one for 10, and Broughton one for 11.
