ACTION AGAINST CROWN

MAN WHO WAS INTERNED MONTREAL, Nov. 11. An action against the King lias been instituted, through the, Canadian Government, by a German-born citizen of Montreal named Hugo Rohde. Mr. Rohde, who is 75, claims 25.000 dollars (£5000) damages on the grounds of alleged illegal internment as an alien and enemy for nearly one year after tlie Armistice in 1918. Mr. Rohde has since become a naturalised Canadian. His action is taken under the Hague Convention concerning prisoners of war.
