DUKE’S AUCKLAND VISIT
DEPARTURE FOR NATIONAL
PARK

Although the Duke of Gloucester’s entry into Auckland was through its back door, to-day His Royal Highness had an opportunity of passing through the front door as the result of a launch cruise of portion of the harbor. Accompanied by Their Excellencies, the Duke to-night attended a local piclure theatre.
The Duke leaves Auckland at. 10.45 a.in. for Hamilton en route to the Chateau Tongariro, National Park, where he is due at 10.50 o’clock on Saturday night. He spends Sunday at the Chateau and on Monday leaves for Mr. T. A. Duncan’s estate at Hunterville. On Tuesday he attends the Marton races. He spends the night at Mr. Duncan’s home.
At 9 p.m. on Wednesday the Duke rejoins the Royal train at Hunterville for Oliakune, where he is due for two hours and a-lialf. The original programme is then resumed, the Royal train being scheduled to reach New Plymouth at 9.45 a.m. on Thursday.
