The second day of the Taranaki races was held in fine weather. The attendance was large and the going good. The totalisator put through £9aSO 10s, compared with i'6£47 oil the second day last year, making £22)092 10s lor the meeting, compared with £18,124 10/, last year, an increase of £3898:
