Wedding Bells

Ansell—Park — xx A very pretty wedding was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Wednesday evening, the parties being Phyllis Eileen Park, third daughter of .Mrs. D. O’Sullivan, llirini street, and the late Hr. Andrew Park, and Albert Edwin Ansell, eldest son of Mrs. Ansell and the late Mr. Albert Ansell, Palmerston road. The olliciating clergyman was Canon A. F. Hall, and the organist Mr. Y\ . C. Kolm. The church had been beautifully decorated with lilies, carnations and green cry by friends of tins bride, the. colors of the flowers toiling artistically with the bridesmaids’ frocks. 't he bride, who was given away I y the Mayor, Mr. J. Jackson, wore a lovely frock of ivory satin niervcilleux cut ‘on graceful classical lines, being closely moulded lo the figure to the knees, where the skirt developed a-lull Hare and formed a train behind. The bodice had a high neckline in front with a roll collar, and at the back it was fastened with a row of small satin buttons from the neck to the waistline. The very full long sleeves were caught in to a tight cull’, which finished in a point over each hand. A beautiful silk tulle veil was arranged to the bride’s head in becoming fashion with a coronet of orange blossom, and, hanging in graceful folds over her frock, it formed a long train at the hack. Her picturesque toilette was completed with a beautiful bouquet of lilies which she carried, and ivory satin shoes and silk hose.

The bridesmaids, Misses Cecilia Park, chief, sister of the bride, Mary Ansell and Nellie Ansell, sisters of the bridegroom, and Pauline, Smith, wore very pretty frocks of apple green organdie trimmed with palo green lace. They were fashioned alike, each frock being

light-lifting to tlie knees and there forming a full flaro which reached to the ground. The bodice was trimmed at the neck with organdie ruffles, and the skirt nad a large slanting ruffle from the hips to the knees, giving a graceful effect. Each bridesmaid wore a .charming hat of green organdie, the back of the crown being composed of tiny massed roses, while the flat, brim was covered with frills. Instead of a bouquet of flowers each bridesmaid carried a dainty muff of green organdie to match her hat, and wore shoes and hose to tone with her frock. The duties of best man were ably

carried out by Mr. Alex Clare, and those of groomsmen by Messrs. M. J. Grant, G. McConnell and T. Munro. The subsequent reception was held at the Freesia Lounge, where a very jolly time was spent, the usual toasts being honored. Mrs. D. O’Sullivan, mother of the bride, was wearing a handsome frock of royal blue silk marocain with sleeves and trimmings of coffee colored lace, which was inlet at the back of the bodice, the neckline being finished with a dainty buckle. Her becoming hat was of beige Bangkok straw with trimmings to tone, and she carried a lovely bouquet of carnations.

Mrs. Ansell, mother of the bridegroom, was becomingly frockcd in black crepe do chine, fashioned with cowl sleeves, and trimmed at the front and sleeves with white accordion pleating. She wore a black Bangkok straw hat with white trimmings, and carried a bouquet of beautiful white carnations. Later in the evening the bride and bridegroom left by ear on a tour of the North Island, the bride travelling in a smart ensemble of brown floral marocain with a hat to tone.

Mr. and Mrs. Ansell received many beautiful and useful presents, and the bridegroom’s present to the bride was a leather travelling case and rug.

Morse, floral crepe de chine in dove grey, scarlet and green. Miss B. Dennis chose buttercup yellow taffeta; Miss Hollard, black sprigged taffeta; Miss M. Traiford, pale green talieta; Miss M. Barnard, cerise embossed georgette; Miss Worsfold, blue georgette; Miss E, Barron, black georgette; Miss Hyland, sprigged dimity in white and pink ■ Miss F. Tyennan, white georgette trimmed with satin, and worn with a capelette of cherry velvet; Miss E. Williams, yellow Hat crepe trimmed with tiny frills; Miss I. McKenzie, S axe due lace; Miss Middleton, primrose organdie.

Miss Clill wore Lido blue floral georgette; .Miss Lower, old gold crinkled crepe trimmed with touches of emerald green; Miss MeKoipdo, red and white printed organdie; Miss Hunt, old gold mala lasso crepe; Alisa Hansen, white georgette; Miss T. Saunders, scarlet

satin; Miss McKenzie, black georgette with white trimmings; Miss Corbett, cerise crinkly crepe;‘Miss K. Kmerson, pale green organdie; Miss Hanlon, violet satin; Miss Fredsbcrg, floral crinkly crepe in autumn tunings; Miss M. Saunders, pink net trimmed with frills; Miss Powell, .white satin; Miss P. Barker, black georgette and lace; Miss Wheeler, sprigged pink organdie.

Williams—Cobbe The marriage took place at the Chateau Tongariro on Wednesday of Doreen Margaret, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Cobbe, to Fritz Leslie, youngest soil of the Rev. Canon Arthur and Mrs Williams, Pukehau, Hawke’s Bay. The bridegroom’s father, assisted by the Rev. G. Griffin, vicar of Taumarunni, officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory sand crepe, cut very simply.with streamline effect, and the skirt ending in a long train. Her veil was of ivory tulle frilled around the edges and caught back from the face with clusters of orange blossom. She wore silver shoes and carried a slical. ol ('liristmas lilies.

The bridesmaids, Miss Ngnirc Cobbe, her sister, and Miss .loan SI. George, Auckland, were dressed alike in dainty chiffon frocks patterned in green and gold on a white ground.
