MORTGAGE CORPORATION

MINISTER ACTIVE BILL BEING PREPARED (Per Press Association,) WELLINGTON, last night. No time has been lost by the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates In the preparation of the proposed' legislation establishing a National Mortgage Corporation. Many consultations already have taken place since the session adjourned, and it is expected that Mr. Coates will circularise those vitally affected this week. The bill will be drafted within a few days, and this also will be submitted to interested parties for an opinion. As soon as these are to band they will be forwarded to Mr. G’Oates in Australia in order that he may keep in closest touch with the situation.

Mr. Coates said to-day that on his return from Australia there would 1m? a series of conferences, and there is no doubt that the legislation would ho ready for introduction in the early stages of the ’resumed session.
