LUMINOUS WOMAN
MYSTERIOUS EIGHT DOCTOR’S REPORT v , VENICE, Sep!. Hi. The “luminous woman of l’irano,” who has puzzled scientists in Italy by emitting a glow of light from her chest as slip sleeps, lias been the subject of a report to the International Radio-Biological Congress. The woman, Anna. Mortaro, 42, was in hospital at Pirano, suffering from asthma and under-nutrition, and night nurses insisted mat: on several occasions they say the glow. Professor Fahio Vitali, a Venice doctor, who was asked to make tin official investigation, took till steps to ensure that there was no imposture, and then, with several other doctors, waited up one night in the ward. A cinematographic camera was rigged up beside tne bed.
The professor’s report says: “At 10.25 p.m., without any sound, there suddenly appeared a glow of liluishwhitn light, which appeared lo come from the patient ’s chest' and lit up her neck and face so as to -show up her features. The light threw no shadow
“At the same time, the woman stirred uneasily in her sleep and moaned.”
The phenomenon lasted for only a second, during which time, a photograph' was taken. Bit! when the photograph was developed it showed hoiking. All who saw the phenomenon were convinced that it was absolutely real.
