MISSING GISBORNE CAR
RECOVERED IN WAIOEKA SECOND CAR STOLEN I n the early hours of Thursdyjg'moming a small sedan car belongingTo Mr. G. B. Walworth was stolen from a vacant section in upper Gladstone road. Yesterday the missing car was discovered in a damaged condition in the Waioeka Gorge about 14 miles from Qpotiki. On Thursday night another sedan car, belonging to Mr. L. D. Duff, of Opotikl, was stolen from bis car shed, and it is believed that whoever stole Mr. Walworth's car also stole Mr. Duff’s, aftei having abandoned the former car in th< Waioeka Gorge. Presumably Mr. Wal worth’s car was stolen at about 2 a.m on Thursday, for a neighbor heard til l engine of the ear being started at ftbou that hour, but did not suspect that tm car was being stolen. Advice was received in Gisborne to day that Mr. Duffs car had been re covered this morning at Rotorua, art that, two Maoris had been arrested n connection with the offence.
