FURTHER DONATIONS MEETING OF COMMITTEE Routine matters in regard to Show preparations were dealt with at a meeting of the Poverty Riiv A. and l‘. Association’s committee on Saturday, the. president, Mr. 11. G. Smith, being in the chair. The Gisborne’ branch of the New Zealand Motor Trades Association .wrote, advising that no displays of cars be made at the Show tiiis year, but forJ warded donations from various firms. The Tovertv Hay Gent re of the Piping 1 ami Dancing Association of New Zealand, wrote recommending stewards and stating that the Irish Keel was to be coni' peted foe as a 'duo, competitors being allowed only ono entry each in this class. Tho recommendations were approved. Mr. S. E. Small, who had been invited to give a demonstration on Romney sheep, Wrote stating that he did noli wish to do so. ’Tho Auckland, Waikato. Mnsterton. and Hawke's Bay A. and P. Associations wrote furnishing particulars of the public risk insurance cover effected by) them. It was agreed that a public risk) insurance should be taken out. add that the secretary should go into tile matter of the premium. Another insurance 1 matter was referred to the grounds committee.

Mr. Tf. P. D. Van A sell wrote sug-’ gosling terms for aerial photographs of the show. Tho matter was referred to the grounds committee. Wise’s lee Cream, Limited, and Mrs. McCoy wrote, with regard to catering rights*. Mrs. McCoy’s letter was referred to tho grounds* committee, with a, recommendation to invite alternative tenders for one. and three years. The other letter was received.

Mr. A. 11. Airoy wrote offering £4O for the rights of the. licensed booth, with the promise of a further £5 if tho weather was favorable and conditions were satisfactory on People’s Day. Tho olfer was accepted. Mr. E. Johnson wrote regarding space for a waxworks. The matter was referred to the grounds committee.

The St. John Ambulance Association wrote suggesting that two cadet members, in addition to four senior members on the first day of the Show and eight on the second day, be in attendance. Tho offer was accepted.

The Gisborne Returned Soldiers' Association wrote asking for space, on behalf of the Jubilee Institute for Hie Blind and the i’t.S.A. basket factory. The request was granted on the usual conditions.

Messrs. Dalgcty and Company wrote booking space for a. trade, exhibit and offering the use of a shearing machine for class 174. —The question of the shearing machine was referred to the grounds committee and Mr. B. C. Barker. Messrs. F. E. Wilson and Sons wrote asking for a renewal of the use of the showgrounds for skin drying.—lt was decided to call tenders for the use of these buildings. ft was agreed to erect notices requesting the. public not to obscure the view of people occupying cars on the car terrace.

Messrs. R. W. J. Edwards and Master D’Arcv Redstone .were elected members.

It was reported that Mr. George Smith’s tender of £ll2 bad been accepted for the erection of the men's conveniences.

The name of Mr. 11. B. Williams was recommended to the North Island A. and F. Association’s conference as an approved judge ot saddle horses and hunters. It was decided to amend regulation lo to permit owners of pigs to be in attendance during judging. The following donations were acknowledged : D.A.C., Limited., trophy, to bo allotted; 11. It was resolved that, except in fat lamb classes, where the breeder is defined us Hie owner or ewe at time of breeding, Hie breeder shall be held to ho the owner fit. 1 line of mating.
