DETECTIVE GETS HIS MAN
LONDON, Aug. 8. A Scot land Yard detective disguised him self as an ex sailor selling matches, when he was in search of a “ wanted” imwi. In this disguise lie stood on a prominent London sidewalk tor six davs and eventually secured his man. Ho also received nearly £8 from kindhearted passers-by, most o! the contributors merely 'passing him a copper or two without bothering lo take Ins matches. Auttiorties of Scotland Yard have ordered that the money must be paid into police funds.
