LITTLE DAMAGE

FREEZING' WORKS KIRK (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. Damage estimated at about £IOO was caused to thef building, plant, and stock at the works of the Westfield Freezing Company by fire this morning. A good save was effected by-tha-Ellors-lie, Alt. Wellington, and. Ouehupga, brigades, assisted by the stuff brigade, the fire being confined to one room on the top of the main block of buildings. Fireproof doors prevented the (lames from spreading to other parts of the building, and although the heavy doors were blistered by the beat, little water reached the lower floors. The .stock is insured with Lloyd’s, and the buildings with various local companies.
