ALL BLACKS’ DIFFICULTIES ATTACK EXPLAINED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received September 15, 2 p.m.) SYDNEY. Sept. 15. The Newt South Wales Rugby Union has received a letter from Mr. decides explaining the reported attack on Australian referees. Mr. Ceddes says: ‘‘Upon arrival in Wellington we were rushed by reporters. 1 told them of the difficulties we had had in the early games in regard to various interpretations, which were puzzling to us in connection with the offside, and front row rule, more particularly in the iirst test. I wanted them to strictly understand that we were not making any complaint or excuses for our defeat as we were well and truly beaten by a better side.” Air. Geddes concludes: “I sincerely trust I have cleared the air and the good opinion the. people of Australia had of the team will still be retained.’"
