OPERA HOUSE ‘‘KING OF WILD HORSES” AND < < PHANTOM PRESIDENT ’ ’ Two big attractions arc to he presented to-night at the Opera House- “ King of Wild Horses” is a most unusual aud thrilling drama, telling as it does the love of an Indian brave lor Ins famous black stallion, played by Rex, the wonder horse. 1 here are exciting scenes, with hundreds of wild horses on a mad stampede. “The Phantom President, an enjoyable political comedy featuring George M. Cohan. Claudette Colbert and Jimmy (“ScJinozzle”) Durante, marks the debut of Cohan, who, for a quarter ot a century, has been a lending figure in I lie American theatre world. In it he plays two roles —a candidate for Parliament and a medicine-show proprietor. ( lever campaign managers discover the modi tine showman, and hire him to imner senate their candidate until election day. When he gets to work, votes rally in over-increasing numbers to the candidate’s standard, and it looks like n sine walk-away for him until a dramatic, it amusing, rift develops between tho men who look alike. The rift is partly caused hv their battle for Claudette Col licit. The picture is extremely amusing. and there are some pleasing musical numbers.
