EIGHT ALPINISTS' Dead

Eight alpinists are dead and several injured as a result of storms and torrential ruins sweeping central Switzerland' during the week-end. Three climbers from Basle fell to their deaths from flalenstock peak; the bodies of two Italians were found on Monte Rosa; two tourists are missing on Gletsehom and hopes of their survival have been abandoned; and another climber died of exhaustion.
