A meeting of the Farmers’ Uiijon was held in the Reynolds Hall. Tolaga; Bay, last Saturday, arid a fairly representative gathering 1 was present.' Visitors from 'Gisborne headquarters; were Messrs. ,T. E. Benson, M; T.’Tr&f-' .ford and the' secretary, Mr C. 'Black*, (burn. h j
Mr €. 0. Connell acted us chairman and introduced ,tke various speakers, while Mr C. Milne acted’ln the, capacity of seere-fary.. , . Mr Benson gave a very interesting address on the wofrk the unitin'V&s doing, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Messrs. Trafford and Blackburn also spoke. , Keen interest was shown .by those present, but it was agreed to .postyionU, further discussion regarding a prq-perly-organised branch- being formed at Tolaga Buy until October. The meeting terminated with a veto of thanks to the chairman. .
