The Christchurch secretary replied that there was no provision for membership for an enemy soldier, but it wgs within the power of the branch to make a German ex-soldier an honorary member, the only consideration beiog his personal character and similar considerations. The action was approved, the chairman, the Rev. F. T. Read, saying that he believed in the principle of. extending friendship to ex-cnetnies.
