BISHOP OF RIPON (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 2 p.m.) RUGBY, August 25. The death occurred to-day of the •Bishop of Ripon, Dr. A. Purroiifhs, The late Dr. Burroughs graduated M.A. at Oxford, where he had a distinguished career. lie .was ordained! in 1908, and for some 'years was engaged as. a lecturer .And tutor. From 1920 to 1926 lie was DeaU of Bristol, add in the latter year was appointed Bishop of Ripon. In 1925 lie was appointed commissary 16 the Archbishop of NSw Zealand.
