A daring series of thefts occurred at Little River early this morning, when thievep, who apparently arrived by ear, broke into tjie .post Office, railway station, (fnd Mr, 0. Ei. Stean’s store! The doors were prized open with iron bars, locks smashed, and the contents of drawers strewn in all directions, hut the thieves gained vety little. Being unable to force open the B'ost Offico safe, no money was secured. At stean\s shop, the thieves took nearly his entire stock of tobacco. The discovery was made at 4 n.m. Detectives from the city are investigating.
