THE MONETARY PROBLEM
(To the Editor of the Herald.)
Sir, —I have been rending the articles on the monetary problem and Major. Douglas credit system for a long time and for the life of me I cannot fully understand or grasp the system. The writers are vague, indefinite and lack logic and reason and fail to explain clearly their viows and remedy. The ordinary man does not know "whethr the Douglas system is an extinct animal or a new disease. Jf ctlie Douglasites have a message to benefit the people they should give it in a eimple, clear manner, so that tlio ordinary man can grasp for keciisighted mon can get lost in a dense fog. If Douglasites wish to know something about the monetary problem they should visit the gambling hells of America, say Wall Street, New York, and study'the system of finance practised there. This monetary trouble has not, been caused in New Zealand, nor cannot be remedies here —Yours, etc.. J.B,
