After considering the South African proposal to modify the foot-fault rule the International Lawn Tennis Federation's committee recommended that an auxiliary lino bo drawn 2ft. behind the base-line. The server should stand behind the auxiliary line, and keep one foot behind it during delivery. Mr. Sabelli has requested national associations to supply their observations on the proposal by December 1.
