Eric Bonner as copilot for the Melbourne flight, declared that, before the race', lie would attempt to break the present 13hrs. smin. non-stop record from Los Angeles to New York, held by Captain Rickenbachcr. Commandant Fitzmauriee will confer with the Washington authorities on the possibility of establishing a regular New York-England mail-plane service within a year.
