PROVISION OF FINANCE COVERNMENT’S POSITION (.Pnrllnnientary Report or.) WELLINGTON, this day. Suggestions for utilising unemployment fluids for house building came recently from two nu'iubcrs of tlio House.

The Minister of Employment, the Hon. A. Hamilton, states that the board is consulting building societies in an endeavor to make arrangements under which an improvement, will he made in financing home building. Answering a suggestion that the Unemployment Board’s funds should be directly used for financing, the Minister expresses the opinion that the recent house-building subsidy scheme will render the desired assistance to workers contemplating the erection of dwelling*. „ .
