Maori) asked the 1 ostmaster-Geueral whether instead of lebroadeasting Maori items, from records, and thereby swelling the profits .of foreign companies, he will instruct the Broadcasting Board to make an agreement to broadcast actual Maori artists and pay them a. suitable fee. , Hon. J. Bitdienet. on behalf of the 1 cstmastei -General, said that during the last 18 months there had been 24 broadcasts by Maori parties, but he would see that the request was brought beloiv the Broadcasting Beard.
