BALLOONING TRAGEDY

DRIFTING FOR 24 HOURS MOSCOW, May 19. It is revealed that the balloonists Dr. Schrenck and Professor Masuok must have been asphyxiated through the failure of the oxygen apparatus two hours after the start of their flight. The balloon drifted with the dead men for 241 hours across Europe and, when low, Dr. Schrenck’s body fell out. The gondola was dragged across the country for miles until it became entangled in a wood, where Professor Masuck’s body was found.
