LA POUPEE’S SUCCESS STEEPLES TO MANUIRI (Por Press Association.) WANGANUI, last night. The Rangitikei Racing Club’s winter meeting was held in fine weather. TJie track was a trifio holding and the attendance fair. The totalisator handled £4420, as compared with £4205 for the February meeting. AVjon by a length and a neck. Time, 2.13 4-5. Rangitoto Steeples.—2 Mauuiri (Bowden) 1; 4 Silent Bill (Stratton) 2; 1 Invictus (Nicol) 3. Also ran: 3 Easterly (fell), 5 Currajong, 0 Taneka. AVon by one and a-half lengths, and fifteen lengths. Time, 5.5 4-5. Parewanui Hack. —4 Ebeum (L. Jones) 1; 3 AVindward (Anderson) 2; 2 Lady Ronald (Martin) 3. Also rau: 8 Kalmuck, 1 Bold Jim, 11 Dorado, 9 Hark Forrard, 5 Ythan, 10 AVyndale, 7 Sandlark, 6 Round Score, 12 Maid of the Air. AA r on by half a length and four lengths. Time, 1.52 4-5.
