CLERGY BOARD’S STAND SHARES TO BE SOLD (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Tress Assn.) LONDON, May 16. The News-Chronicle, says that following protests from clergymen throughout the country against a Christian organisation deriving revenue from armament shares, the Clergy Pensions Institutions’ Board decided to dispose of its ,£IO,OOO huldin.tr in Vickers, Limited, and reinvest the capital in trustee stocks. The Vickers holding was acquired in 1894 when the institutions were conducted more on the lines of an ordinary commercial insurance company.
