SHEEP DOG TRIALS
RUATORIA CLUB'S MEET NEW COURSE DIFFICULT (Herald Correspondent.) The annual field trials of the Ruatoria Sheep Dog Trials Club arc being held on the now course at Maharaha. The weather is ideal, although a strong wind is blowing which makes it hard for both men and dogs, lu the long head there are at present 41 entries, and though the course appears much easier than the old one at Mangakino, the dogs are having difficulty in completing their runs. The judge dt the trials is Mr. A. U. . Wood, of Lottin Point. The meeting is wider the control of a good committee, assisted by a number of ladies. Moals are available at the course, the conducted by Mrs P. U. Burton, with the aid of Misses E. O'Connor, K, O’Rourke, and Fonn (3). If the weather holds fine, the club expects te have a record meeting. •
