The 17-ycar-old Londoner, Miss Pamela Baiion, is' tjie youngest player to appear in the golf final. Tile semi-final was played in a gale, but Miss Barton’s control of the. ball was amazing. Miss Corlctt, the oxLflficashife- champion, has twice her experience. Miss Barton was one down at the turn, but fought, back splendidly. Miss Holm is nti ex-Scottish champion. Miss Barton’s victims in chronological order before the semi-final were: Miss Powell-Williams, 2 and 1; Mdlle. Gunsburg, 2 and 1; Miss Barron, 8 and 6; Miss Diana Plumpton, 3 and 2. Miss Holm’s victims were Miss Kay, 6 and 5; Miss Pyman, 3 and 2 ; Mrs. Greenlees, one up • Miss Wade, at the twentieth.
