Mowbray with the insignia of an officer of the Order of the British Empire by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, at the Empire Ball in the Auckland Town Hall last Thursday evening. Lady Bledisloe is standing just behind His Excellency. Miss Mowbray is the president of the Auckland branch of the Victoria League and a well-known social worker in the northern city.
