MANCHURIAN SHIP « ONE OF CREW KILLED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received May 15, 11 a.m.) KOBE, May 14. A Manchurian steamer proceeding to Taheihow was fired on by a Soviet fortified post. The Japanese and Manchurian passengers were not harmed, but one of the crew was killed and one wounded. \ The reason for the attack is not known. The steamer proceeded without attempting to reply. The Foreign Office is preparing a strong protest.
