BRITAIN AND DOMINIONS MR. THOMAS’ ADDRESS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received May 15, 3 p.m.) LONDON, May 14. Arising out of New Zealand’s so-called offer, Conservative private members of the Pariiamentaiy committee invited Mr. J. H. Thomas to address them. Mr. Thomas, outlining! the relations between Britain and the Dominions, said the closest co-operation existed. Tho general relationship at present was actually better than for niaby years. He urged that Dominions, like foreign countries, should be barred from the arena of domestic politics. Referring to the New Zealand controversy, he repeated the substance of his speech in tho House of Commons, which view, he added, was confirmed by the latest Australian and New Zealand advices.
Alluding to Ottawa, Mr. Thomas said that despite the depressed prices of primary products, British exports to the Dominions, and vice versa, had increased, and this could bo traced to Ottawa. He announced that all the Dominions had expressed a desire to partiepato in tho King’s silver jubilee.
