After many years in the motion picture business, Mr. A. J. McDermott has retired from the managership of the Majestic Theatre, Rotorua. For health reasons he proposes to take n long holiday, and the control of the theatre has been handed over to Mr. J. Wilson, laic manager for Pictures Theatres, Limited, Dunedin. Dr. A. Bernstein, who has been in •practice in New Zealand’ for the past 15 years, has disposed of his practice in Morrinsville and intends living in retirement in England. Before coining to New Zealand 21 years ago, Dr. Bernstein had extensive experience in hospitals in England. He was in charge of the Government Sanatorium at To Miro for a time. and was on active service with tho Medical Corps for three years during tho war.
