Ibn Saud desires a treaty guaran-teeing-peace for 20 years. He hpd previously demanded the' Imam’s abdication and the occupation of the frontier areas by Saudis for five years'. ’ Meanwhile, the . Saudis are advancing upon Sanaa. The Imam,has cabled to;hnrjeprosentativc in Cairo declaring: “The situation on all fronts is good. Only blood can wash,out the. Saudi insult;’’ A later message reports that Ibn Saud has agreed to suspend military operations pending the Imamfs assurance that he. will carry out conditions of peace. ;
