Prince and Princess Kaya, of Japan, and Sir Robert (Hive, the British Ambassador, were the principal guests at a dinner in London last night. Prince Kaya, in a graceful speech, expressed bis happiness in visiting Britain, which the Japanese regarded with feelings of special intimacy, for the two great island empires had much in common in their national circumstances: : They were bound together by strong ties of amity and friendship, and between, them there had been a close alliance and, faithful co-operation. Sir Robert Clive said lie had a deep sentimental affection for Japan, and was happy to he returning to live among a charming people who always had remained true to the tradition of friendship with Britain.
