MANUTUKE SCHOOL
HOUSEHOLDERS MEET
The annual meeting of householders was hold at the Manutuke School last night, when Mr. W. A. Mcdiskie presided over a small attendance.
In the financial statement for the past year the general account showed a credit balance of £l3 Is, with a credit of £l3 17s 4d in the special account. Ttie average attendance was 125, and resulted in the school maintaining its grade of IV A. The attendance at the end of the year was 129, and it was reported that 40 attendance certificates had been gained. The dux for the year was Geoffrey Kirk. A vote of thanks was passed commending the headmaster, Mr. W. H. Porter, and his staff, Misses Wills, T. Major, E. Baker, and E, Smith, for their good work. ■ The thanks of the householders were extended to the Revs. K. T. Hadliekl and W. A. Porter, and Misses Price, iGrey and (Griffon 'lor taking the weekly Bible lessons at the school. Miss Priee was specially thanked for her valuable assistance in rendering first aid to the children. The committee elected comprised the Rev. Iv. T. Hadfield, Messrs. W, A. McCliskie, P. Kirk, T. Gibson, R. Piercy and J. Daulton. At a subsequent meeting of the committee Mr. McCliskie was elected chairman, Mr. Piercy secretary, and Mr. Coppin treasurer. Messrs. McCliskie and Piercy were elected delegates to the dental clinic committee.
