MEAT CONTROL BOARD
NEW REPRESENTATIVES CALF AND PIG INDUSTRIES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The desirability of giving the bobby calf and pig export industries direct representation on the Meat Producers’ Board was discussed at a meeting of the executive of the Farmers’ Union. Following a reply by tho Minister of Agriculture that it would be very difficult to accede to the request, the meeting decided that the matter was one that should be decided by annual conference. The general secretary, Colouel Pow, was absent owing to illness, and a motion appreciative of his work was passed, with an expression of hope that he would soon be restored to normal hriilth.
