COUNSEL WITHDRAWS
MURDER TRIAL DEFENCE MEDICAL ADVICE (Per Press Association,) DUNEDIN, last night. It was recently .announced that Mr A. C. Hanlon,' K.C., Dunedin, had accepted a brief to act as leading counsel ifor William Bayly, of Auckland, who is charged with the murder of Samuel and Christobel Lakey, of Ruawaro. in consequence of medical advice, Mr Hanlon has been reluctantly compelled to relinquish his brief.
Since a good deal of preparatory work had been done in connection with the ease, Messrs. E. 11. Northcroft and R. B. Lusk, Auckland advisers of the accused, visited Dunedin to-day for the purpose of a -conference with Mr Hanlon.
