Mr. axul Mrs I. Stephenson and Mr. ft. Stephenson, Gisborne, were recent visitors to Auckland.

'The congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Palmerston North, decided to extend a call to the Rev. John Hubbard, of Kclburn, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of the Rev. G. T. Brown.

Booksellers expressed their appreciation of the work for the trade of Mr. G. H. Bennett, Palmerston North, who is retiring from the office of president of the New Zealand Booksellers’' Association, which he has occupied since 1923. They presented him with a cabinet wireless set at the annual conference in Wellington.

On a mission to arouse interest m the work of the Roman Catholic Church among seamen in the main ports of New Zealand, the Rev. Father J. lb Rockliff, international promoter of the Apostleship of the Sea, reached Auckland from New York by the steamer City of Tokio.
