MASTERTON, this day. A largely-attended public ! meeting held yesterday to consider whether the Masterton Racing Club should continue or not, decided that the dub rfboivicl carry on. Active steps are being taken to increase the membership by 150 to 200. the number considered sufficient to enable the club to function satisfactorily. A sub-committee was appointed to canvass for members. Speakers agreed that it would be regrettable uf the club had to end, and took residents to task for not giving better support in the past. The club intends to apply for two racing days in the spring.
