OVERSEAS GRAIN MARKETS LONDON, April 5. Wheat -. The demand for cargoes quietened to-day, but prices were unchanged. Parcels were steadily bold. Futures: London: April. 16s fid per quarter; June, 17s ll.pl; September, 18s fipl; Liverpool : May, 4s 3d per rental; July, 4s 5J,d ; October, 4s 7 3-Sd. Spot wheat trade is slow, Atistraliau, ex ship, 21s 9d to. 22« 9d a. quarter. Flour is quiet. Australian, ex store, 16s 9d to 17s a sack. Oats are slow and easier; peas, maples, are move .active; best New Zealand, March and April shipments, 395; Tasmanian maples, March and April, 40s; blue Tasmanian, April, 210 s to 2155. Beans are unchanged.
LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE (British Official Wireless.) BUG BY; April 5. Owing to the approaching end of the account, business on the stock markets to-day was restricted. British Government stocks were slightly weaker, War Loan 3£ per cents, being quoted at £lO4 7s 6d. Sales included 1\ and 0. deferred stock, 17s 4Ad; Mount, Lyell, 19s 3d; Bulolo Gold Dredging, £5 lbs.
GOLD MINING REPORTS The Bell Kilgotir Gblrlmining Company wash-up for the week elided April <i amounted to 10oz. oewt. Irani development work. The secretary of the Goldfields Dredging Company, Limited, reports that the dredge is making good headway toward the upper gorge, and that there was no wash-up this week. The Charleston Sluicing Company (Buller) reports that for the period ended March 17, a total of 20oz. lSilhvt. was washed up. Of this amount Hioz. were secured in one week, water 'being very short during the second week.
