MELBOURNE AIR RACE
SURVEY OF ROUTE PLANE REACHES DARWIN )' DARWIN, April 6. The airmen, Messrs. Rubins and Waller. who left Koepang this morning, arrived at Darwin at 12.23 p.m. They are remaining) for about 10 days in Australia, and returning by the same route after visiting Sydney and Melbourne. Their object is to survey the route for the centenary race, as Rubins intends flying a nesv type of Comet machine. Their present machine is a Leopard Moth with an enclosed cabin. Rubins is Australian born, and served with the Imperial Forces. Waller is a native of Kent.
