PUHA NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) The annual general meeting of the Pulia Football Club was held in the Puha Hall, there being a good attendance. The balance-sheet was adopted, the financial position of the club being very sound. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year : —Chairman, Mr. R. Scott; deputy chairman, Mr. B. Moore; secretary, Mr. G. - Brown; committee, Messrs. P. Brown, J. Bennett, N. McMillan, R. Parsons, Mclntyre, S. Matchitt, J. Prendergast, B. Malone, F. Malone, N. Tu, Wi Rangi, and P. Howard; delegates to the Waikohu subunion, Mr. P. Brown and Mr. G. Brown; selectors, Messrs. P. Brown, M. R.uru and F. Malone. It was decided to hold a dance and euchre party in the Pulia Hall on Thursday, April 19, and to engage a free - bus to run from Ormond.
Miss F. Duncan spent her Easter vacation at Waikaremoana.—Mr. and Mrs, P. Frazer spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Mclntyre.—Miss A. Gibson was a visitor to Matawai during Easter.—Mr. and Mrs. F. Malone have returned from Tolaga Bay.—Mr. and Mrs. E. Spence and family, Tolaga Bay, were the guests of Mrs. W. Fletcher
for the Easter holidays.—Misses K. and J. Cameron spent their Easter vacation in Gisborne.—Mrs. Geddy was the guest of Mrs. McAllister last "week-end.—Mrs. Coates is spending a few days in Gisborne.—Mr. and Mrs. R. Pirie are visiting the latter’s parents. Mr. and Mi’s, xitney.—Mr. and Mrs. T. Scott and Mr. VV. Scott were the guests of Mrs. R. Scott, “Borne,” for the Easter holidays.—His. R, J. Brown has returned from a visit to Opotiki.—Mr. and Mrs. I. Newman and Mr. G. Hall spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Hall.—Mr. J. Malone spent Easter with his parents. —Misses F. and T. Thompson and Mr. E. Thompson visited their parents for the Easter holidays.—Mrs. C. Watton, Matawai, has been ; visiting her mother, Mrs. Graham.
