DAIRY FACTORY WORK
PROPOSED SIX-DAY WEEK As a result of further conciliation proceedings at New Plymouth regarding the dispute over conditions of work in dairy factories, there seems a hopeful prospect of the parties reaching an agreement, especially on the request made by workers for a ,six-dhy week. It has been arranged to hold a round-table conference between executives of the employers’ and workers’ organisations in dune, nt which the whole position of 'the industry will be investigated. The conference will report back to the parties in the dispute, and it is hoped that the proceedings will result in a complete settlement.
