A Book of Travel
MISS Margaret Gilruth, a young Melbourne journalist, has written a book dealing with her travels abroad, and it has been accepted by Jonathan Cape. Miss Gilruth, who is a daughter of Dr. Gilruth, formerly Administrator of the Northern Territory, had an adventurous trip around the world with Miss Mary Sewell, another Melbourne girl, about two years ago. They set out from Melbourne in a tramp ship and visited many littleknow a ports in Asia and Europe. When eventually she reached London, Miss Gilruth set but with an English girl to walk across Europe. Their travels took them through Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Italy, thence back to Australia, in the same ship. She met many unusual people and visited many unusual places, and has set down ail her experiences in her book, which will be published shortly.
