RACING BAY OF PLENTY MEETING (Per Press Association.) TAURANGA, this day. The Bay of Pieiity Jockey Club’s annual face meeting opened to-day in dull but fine weather. Acceptances were extremely good, and there was a large attendance. The track had received special preparation, and was in good condition. Results : Trial Plate.—B-7 Calcutta, 1;. 2-4 Esquire, 2: 3 : 3 Sir Va!,'3. Scratched: Darina, Eteetra, Miss Hornet, Faithful Lover. Won by one and a-quarter lengths and'two lengths. Time, 1.1.
