Mr. Dynes Fulton, vice-chairman oi the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board arrived in London to-day. He said that a reduction in tariffs on British goods imported into New Zealand was urgently needed bv producers and exporters. Also, importers of British goods were making a strong ellort- to secure a radical reduction in the tariffs, which was vital to tile future of the Dominion. He hoped that the next session ot Parliament would see a change in tariffs. Official New Zealand circles are surprised at Mr. Dynes Fulton's statement ip view of Britain’s recent rejection ot New Zealand’s tentative proposal to give all British goods practically a free market in the. Dominion in return ior the free entry' of New Zealand produce into .Britain after the Ottawa agreement expires. . Britain, despite the offer, is determined in the interests of her own farmers, ,to regulate the imports of New Zealand and other Dominion-produce.
