“Wee MacGregor” Grows Up
AFTER 30 years of popularity, that Scottish minor classic “Wee Macgregor” now rises to the full dignity of a library edition complete with foreword, in which Mr. J. J. Bell tells the story of how he became, almost by accident, the author of a best seller. Within a year of publication 20,000 copies of the original paper cover edition had been sold. Yet, so diffidently had the chances of the book been regarded, that a publishing firm declined the offer of tho copyright at £fi. Since then the circulation has reached astronomical figures.
