Mrs. G. McKinley, of Wallingford Waipukurau, and formerly of Gisborne, is at present on a health-recruiting trip to I’etone.

Dr, E'. P. Ellison, medical officer of Rarotonga, paid a Hying visit to Gisborne this week in the course of a holiday and business tour of New Zealand. After visiting the East Coast, he called at Gisborne, en route to Napier. Dr. Ellison will remain in New Zealand for a further three months, and will then return to Rarotonga.

Mr David .tones, chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, together with Mr J. Ormond, Hawke ’s Bay, a member of the board, arrived in Gisborne last night to deliver an address here to-day. A meeting was held a't Wairoa yesterday, and Messrs. Jones and Ormond will return to Hawke’s Bay to commence a series of meetings on Monday night.
