CHARITY KNOWETII NO PARTY VIENNA, Alarch 10. A close relative of tho Earl of Harewood (Princess Mary’s husband), Mrs. C. E. Waddington, and another Englishwoman, Aliss E. Leacock, were detained by the Viennese police today while distributing monoy. They were on a tour of Florisdorf, the scene of the heaviest fighting in tho recent revolt. The Waddingtons ’ child attended a kindergarten in Rudolf Platz, where a teacher gave Airs. Waddington the names of families in dire distress. The police questioned the two womon for three hours and asked why they distributed money among Socialist children. Airs. AVaddington replied that charity knows no party. Later both were released.
